ЗАСОБИ КОНТРОЛЮ НАВЧАЛЬНОЇ ДІЯЛЬНОСТІ СТУДЕНТІВ У ВІКІ-КДПУ

Анотація

Стаття присвячена опису засобів контролю та моніторингу за навчальною діяльністю студентів, яка здійснюється із використанням Вікі-КДПУ. Розглядається досвід впровадження додаткового програмного продукту Extension Mediawiki Quizzer для створення тестового вікі-сайту «Вікі Тести». Наводиться опис облаштування цього сайту, організації інтерфейсу, розробленого шаблону для тестів і приклад застосування у реальному тестуванні студентів із статистикою їхніх результатів. Аналізується метод портфоліо, як засіб моніторингу і контролю роботи студентів під час вивчення вікікурсів та проектної діяльності. У ЦДПУ вікі-технології залучаються у освітній процес уже певний час і було проведено анонімне опитування серед студентів-магістрантів для дослідження їхньої точки зору. Результати опитування показують, що вікі-курси є зручним, актуальним, сучасним, відкритим інструментом, який значно підвищує ефективність навчальної діяльності студентів.

The article is devoted to the description of means of controlling and monitoring students’ learning with the help of Wiki-KSPU. For years of its functioning Wiki-site has become an open educational informational resource in Ukrainian which is the basis for 300 different electronic educational courses, educational projects, a virtual museum, online contests for students. Lack of opportunity to conduct testing prevented Wiki-KSPU from its full-value implementation as a learning platform. There is no testing function in MediaWiki that is why additional programs were installed providing instruments for creating and conducting tests. Both teachers and students have equal rights in WikiKSPU and «Wiki-Tests» server was created and implemented in order to differentiate users’ access to editing pages with test tasks. This step enabled to block the access of users from the «Student» group to Wiki-articles with tests for editing. Such users can only look through pages with the suggested test questions and choose the correct answer. Personal page templates, educational course templates, project portfolio and other means were used for the «Wiki Tests» site and new templates for tests were created. The functioning of «Wiki Tests» resource was practically tested in the process of teaching several subjects. «Information Communication Technologies in Education» Wiki-course for students completing Master’s degree program is taken as an example. The method of educational projects is used while teaching the material. Students conduct the project research and represent the results in the Wiki-article which is organized according to the template created by the teacher and serves as the project work portfolio. In the article portfolio participants aggregate references to all their information products and the teacher can look them through, assess them and post comments in the «Discussion» anchor-tag. Wiki-courses and Wiki-projects have been used for teaching in Volodymyr Vynnychenko Central Ukrainian State Pedagogical University for some time. In 2016-2017 academic year an anonymous opinion poll was conducted among the participants of the Wiki-community in order to analyze students’ opinions about the involvement of electronic educational courses in learning process. Respondents think that Wiki-courses make learning easier (95,4 %) and improve the quality of knowledge (91,8 %). On completing the subject with the Wikicourse involvement 80% of students admitted improvement of the quality of knowledge and a higher credit or examination mark. However, the students noticed that electronic means cannot replace the teacher, though they can effectively expand and supplement the teacher’s methods. A number of electronic educational courses and projects have been implemented with the help of WikiKSPU resources and «Wiki Tests» site has considerably expanded the possibilities of its usage including assessment and testing.
